Alcester 2nd XV 0 Chaddesley Corbett 48
Alcester once again played the whole game with reduced numbers and eventually lost out to a well organised Chaddersley outfit, who look destined for a strong season.
With only the bare fifteen players available, Alcester lost one in the warm up to injury and by the end of the game were down to twelve players as other knocks took their toll.
The did well in the end to keep the scoreline down to an assemblance of respectability and were helped in no small part by teenaged debutante Zak Stephens, who has recently received his formal sign off to play senior rugby. He led the tackle count and was prominent in the line out and skipper Joel Barker, nominated him as man of the match.
Chaddersley led 36-0 at the break and added two more scores in the second half, although the game finished early after a serious leg injury to a visiting player. All at Alcester RFC wish him well for a speedy recovery.
Alcester 2nds are at home again on Saturday, with Tenbury the visitors to Kings Coughton.
