To provide leadership in safeguarding to all within the club and providing a positive and supportive environment for all to participate in Rugby.
Key aspects of the role
- Develop and implement safeguarding policies and procedures.
In conjunction with the RFU guidance develop and implement safeguarding procedures. Ensure all are aware of and participate in appropriate training. Also ensure a system of DBS checking of all those working with young people is implemented and maintained.
- Ensure prompt and accurate reporting
Make sure that all safeguarding issues are recorded and reported promptly and accurately to the relevant authorities.
- Be aware of players specific needs.
Be aware of the special needs of all players, medical or educational and ensure age group coaches etc. are aware.
- Make rugby as safe as possible by installing safe practice across the club.
Ensure the club follows the Immediate Care Pitch side provision requirements. Organise training to make sure all first aiders are trained and up to date with the latest qualifications as expected by the RFU
