Alcester RFC

15 - 5

(HT 0-0)

Camp Hill RFC

Alcester recorded an impressive win, avenging a defeat in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.

All of the points came in the first half of the game, with the White brothers Freddie and George, sharing the first couple of tries to give Alcester a 10-0 lead.

The big Camp Hill forwards hit back with a try, before centre Jamie Clarke scored Alcester’s third try just before half time.

The second half was equally as competitive. The visitors fly half received a yellow card for a high tackle on home full back, Archie Beddard, before Alcester came close to scoring again. Wing, Josh Ellis, was tap tackled as he crossed the twenty-two metre line, and he almost managed to keep his feet enough to score, before finally falling, just a couple of metres short and so the game finished without any further score

Skipper Luke Spencer nominated Jamie Clarke and Louis Smith as his joint men of the match.

2nds are at home again on Saturday when they play host to Birmingham Exiles in a rearrangement of the league fixture that was postponed earlier in the month. Kick off at Kings Coughton is 2.15pm.
