Stratford Upon Avon RFC
Alcester RFC

Alcester 2 nd XV suffered from late cry offs on the morning of the game, but in the end their 12 men did themselves and their club, incredibly proud.

The visitors put in a mature and determined performance never backing down when the odds were against them.
With their low numbers the fixture was effectively gone, but rather than gift wrap Stratford the five points for a bonus point win, Alcester made them earnt it.
With the fixture played under the RFU’s “game on” rules, Stratford sportingly only played 13 players and the game featured two thirty-minute halves, although the home side’s fresh legs in the second
half proved crucial, as they utilised their full squad of 17 players to good effect.
In the end, Stratford used the space well to exploit the Alcester defence out wide to claim a deserved win. The visitors didn’t go down without a fight and scored two tries of their own through Josh Ellis and Scott McGhee.
For his tireless efforts in both attack and defence, Pav Sembakuttige was named man of the match for Alcester.
