Bromsgrove RFC
Alcester 76-0 Bromsgrove IIs
Alcester started their home league season with an 11 try demolition of Bromsgrove 2nds to rack up an unanswered 76 points - helped by 21 points from the boot of fly-half Ed Gough, and a hattrick from winger, Mark Burrell.
Alcester started the game with an early penalty, that immediately put them 3-0 ahead, to which they never looked back. Two tries from both Owen Binns and Burrell saw the Red and Blacks with a healthy 31-0 lead at the break.
Early second-half tries from Will Silk, man-of-the-match Dwayne Cruickshank and debutant James Lampitt saw 50-0 quickly appear on the scoreboard.
Captain, Christian Rushton, made a break and a great offload to set Burrell up for his hattrick before Rushton became the first forward of the game to score.
Cruickshank scored his brace before Max Biltcliffe sealed the scoring after a catch and drive lineout saw him dot the ball down at the back of the rolling maul.
On the back of two convincing wins, Alcester travel to Leamington next week where they're prepared for a tougher battle.
