(HT 7-14)

Alcester RFC
Droitwich 19 -28 Alcester 1st XV
Alcester secured a try-bonus point win over Droitwich on Saturday despite being forced down to 14 men due to a red card.
It was the home side who took the lead within the opening ten minutes with a try under the posts, making for an easy conversion.
Five minutes later, Alcester captain Will Silk opened Alcester's scoring and Ed Gough added the extras to bring the scores level.
Putting Alcester ahead in the game was a try from winger Mark Burrell, who chased his own kick and neatly collected the ball when it bounced in his favour to run in uncontested. Gough added the conversion again.
The visitors took the one try advantage into the break, 7-14.
Alcester started the second half brightly, when Oscar Holland scored Alcester's third try, and his first since returning to the club after a couple of year's away at university.
Droitwich were able to capitalise on the extra man when Tomy Wright received his first yellow card, and scored their second try of the game.
However, their comeback efforts were short lived when the full-back tackled Burrell off the ball when he was chasing another kick, looking likely to score. Alcester were awarded a penalty try for the offence, their bonus point try, and Droitwich were shown a yellow card.
Alcester then received two yellow cards in a short period, which included a second yellow for Wright. Droitwich scored whilst their opponents were down to 13 men, but it wasn't enough to affect the result of the game.
