Luctonians 2s 45 - 12 Alcester
Despite a positive start, Alcester tired quickly and suffered a heavy defeat to top of the league Luctonians, last Saturday.
It was the visitors who took the lead, as Matt Johnson charged down a kick from his opposition and was first to the ball and crashed over the line.
Luctonians weren't going to allow Alcester the ascendency for long, and retaliated straight back with a converted try, before two minutes later adding a quick second.
Displaying his infamous dummy pass, Josh O'Connor fooled the defense to get Alcester on the scoreboard for the second but last time for the game.
The home side added one more before half time with an interception try to make it 19-12, at which point Alcester still looked like they had a foothold in the game.
Within the opening ten minutes of the second half, Luctonians had crossed the whitewash twice already, to secure their bonus point.
Alcester were then dealt another blow when both captain Will Silk and Will Gough were shown yellow cards within a short space of time taking Alcester down to 13 men for a period.
During this time, the home side were awarded a penalty try, and the visitors began to tire.
There was time for Luctonians to add their seventh and final try of the match.
Alcester have time to regroup with a bye week on Saturday before facing Droitwich away the week after.
