ALCESTER 2nd XV 49 - 5 OLD COVENTRIANS 2nd XV
Alcester 2nd XV made it a perfect start for the home league season with a second comprehensive win for the club, 49-5, as they over powered their opponents who had travelled short and were lent players by Alcester.
Alcester scored 9 tries to the visitors single score, through James Roberts, Will Cooke, debutant Ieuan Hopkin, Sid Tunstall, Elliot Evans, Luke Spencer, Carl Platten, Greg Parsons and Scott McGhee. Skipper Sam Fell added a conversion as did Luke Spencer. Fell nominated forward Alec Aucott as his man of the match.
Alcester 2nds are in Warwickshire Merit League action at home again on Saturday when they entertain Berkswell and Balsall 2nd XV.
